Stord vidaregåande skule is an upper secondary school situated on the south-western coast of Norway. It is diveded in three departments, one mainly for students pursuing an academic career, one mainly for vocational s tudents, and one for adult training courses. The education programmes at the school are: Three preparatory programmes for those wishing to qualify for admission to universities and colleges. These programmes offer a formal qualification for academic studies. Six vocational education programmes. These programmes takes two years in school, and then two years training, leads to a craft certificate or a journeyman’s certificate. The school has approx. 800 students and 180 employees.
